New Pan-African Engagement Officer

I am excited to be taking on a new role as the Pan-African Engagement Officer. Having previously served as the Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Advisor for Target Malaria Ghana, I am eager to continue to contribute to the project’s mission on a broader scale.
My background is in the humanities, having earned a BA Honours degree from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. My journey into stakeholder engagement began when I joined the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) as a Disaster Control Officer. Over the course of six years, I rose to the position of Principal Disaster Control Officer and actively engaged stakeholders on preventive measures and hazard identification, among other functions, to mitigate potential disasters.
I also worked as an enumerator on short contracts with Solidaridad West Africa, Ghana, where I engaged with various communities in the Hohoe District of the Volta Region and several villages in the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal District in the Western North Region of Ghana. These experiences strengthened my skills in community engagement and data collection, and deepened my understanding of grassroots-level interactions.
In my new role as Pan-African Engagement Officer, I will be supporting regional engagements and communication activities in English speaking West African countries and leading stakeholder tracking initiatives at the Pan-African level. My other functions will include raising awareness about Target Malaria’s activities in countries where the project does not currently have a presence and supporting the global stakeholder engagement and communications team with various activities.
I hope to contribute to ensure that stakeholders across Africa are well-informed about the project’s goals and potential impact.
