New Global Communications Manager

Posted 16th September 2021 by Morgane Danielou

I am delighted to be returning to Target Malaria as Global Communications Manager, after supporting the project as a consultant for the last two years.

I have 20 years of international experience in communications and public affairs, working for international organisations, NGOs, and the private sector in Africa, Europe, North and South America. I have led diverse teams to deliver large communications projects.

Prior to joining Target Malaria, I was Vice-President of Communications at Emerging Ag Inc., a consulting firm that has been supporting the project for many years. I oversaw multi-language communications projects for a variety of clients in the agriculture, food and health sectors. I am also a professional trainer. Some of you at Target Malaria may have joined the induction, media and social media trainings I have been running for team members.

In the past, I also worked for the World Bank, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), NGOs and grass-roots associations. I have been a spokesperson for specific industries as well as civil society groups and a negotiator in multilateral policy processes on agriculture and food security issues. I have conducted fieldwork in Africa and Latin America.

Through my work, I most enjoy connecting people and creating relationships between multicultural teams. At Target Malaria, I hope to further strengthen the project’s visibility and coordinate communications across countries, institutions and areas of expertise. I will support the communications teams among partner institutions and across the three pillars of science, regulatory affairs and stakeholder engagement.

A French national, I am fluent in French, English, Portuguese and Spanish. I hold a Master of Science in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, an MBA from the Sorbonne Graduate Business School, a BA in History from the Sorbonne University and a BA in Chinese from the International Institute of Oriental Languages. I have lived in Europe, Latin America and North America.

I am also a sport fanatic, I enjoy running, surfing, skiing, and biking in my spare time. I am a certified yoga teacher and have a passion for contemporary ballet.
