Dr. Charles Guissou

Dr. Charles Guissou is a public health physician. He received his Medical Doctor degree in Medicine at the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso in 2009 and a master’s degree of Public Health with specialization in health research at the University of Lorraine in France in 2011.

Since October 2016, he is the Co-PI for Target Malaria Burkina Faso.

From 2012 to 2014, Charles was a malaria program manager for the Central-South regional Directorate of health in Burkina Faso, and then he spent two years (2014-2016) as a student at the University of Kentucky in the USA for a Master’s degree in Public Health with specialization in Management and Health Policy under the umbrella of a grant from the USA’s Fulbright program. His thesis topic was on integrated vector management for mosquito control. He is particularly interested in the management of health organizations for vector-borne diseases control and elimination in Africa.
