Dr. Abdoul-Azize Millogo is a health geographer and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist, based in Burkina Faso. With 15 years of experience in research, he has been elevated to the rank of Research Fellow by the African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES) since 2023. Based at the Institute for Research in Health Sciences, of the National Center for Scientific and Technological Research (CNRST/IRSS), in Bobo Dioulasso, he is also the GIS coordinator for the Target Malaria project. His expertise covers spatial analysis, malaria modelling, mobile data collection and the use of geospatial tools for territorial planning and public health. An active member of the Association of Geoinformation Professionals of Burkina Faso (Apro-GI), he regularly intervenes as a trainer in GIS, spatial analysis in public universities in Burkina Faso. He works on the valorization of geospatial data for health, local governance and climate resilience. 

His work is at the interface between environmental dynamics, health crises, and adaptation policies. He is particularly interested in ecosystems conducive to the development of pathologies and in the way in which communities and public institutions react to health and climate risks. He is also working on optimizing the spatial deployment of new technologies to fight vector-borne diseases; such as the gene drive. Committed to action research and the training of young researchers, Abdoul-Azize Millogo actively contributes to strengthening national capacities in geomatics applied to development issues in West Africa.
