Target Malaria Uganda meets deputy Prime Minister for regional engagement

A team from Target Malaria Uganda, led by the Stakeholder Engagement Manager Jude Bigirwenkya and accompanied by James Obua Okwir, the National Stakeholder Engagement Support Officer, recently paid a courtesy call to the 1st Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda and Minister for East African Community Affairs; Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.
The purpose of the visit was to engage the Rt. Hon. Minister and initiate dialogue with regional Members of Parliament, East African Legislative Assembly (EALA). The delegation was warmly received, and the Rt. Hon. Minister expressed her full support for the work of Target Malaria and the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI).
She graciously extended an opportunity for the team to engage with Members of the East African Legislative Assembly, a critical platform to strengthen regional collaboration on malaria elimination efforts.
Target Malaria Uganda is grateful for the Minister’s support and looks forward to continued engagement with key regional stakeholders in advancing science-led solutions to combat malaria in Uganda and across the East African region.
