Meet our new Quality Assurance Assistant 

I am delighted to be joining Target Malaria Uganda as a Quality Assurance Assistant.  

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science Technology-Biology from Kyambogo University, and prior to joining the project, I worked in the Pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated work experience in development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 

Throughout my professional journey, I have served in different capacities in the Quality function, as a Quality Control Microbiologist, Quality Assurance Officer and most recently Team Lead Validation at Quality Chemical Industries Limited. 

My career has been shaped by my interest in how science and innovation can translate into sustainable solutions to Uganda’s and Africa’s most pressing public health challenges. With Target Malaria Uganda’s mission of developing and sharing new, cost-effective and sustainable genetic technologies to modify mosquitoes and reduce malaria transmission, I am excited to contribute to achieving the project’s quality objectives and ensuring its scientific work is supported by a robust, risk-based and well documented Quality Management System. 

Outside of work, I love to spend time reading journals, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
