Launching our new series: Voices from the Lab and Voices from the Team

By Regina Chosen

Communications Assistant, Imperial College London, Target Malaria UK

As a spin-off from our ‘Voices from the Field‘ series on our YouTube channel, we are launching Voices from the Lab and Voices from the Team!

These two new series will feature researchers and team members, respectively, sharing their career journeys and inspiration to work on a project like Target Malaria. At Target Malaria, our teams have a variety of scientific specialties, and all of these talents come together to develop new tools that can complement existing malaria interventions.  As an intern with the team, I was proud to take the lead on this project. I wanted the new video series to complement ‘Voices from London‘, a series of guest interview videos we produced at the Great Exhibition Road Festival. I really enjoyed being the creative force behind this campaign and coming up with fresh ways to visually communicate complex scientific concepts to a general audience. Getting to shape a project from concept to video editing gave me a much deeper appreciation for how science communication works behind the scenes, and how much thought goes into making public health messaging land with different audiences.

The first few videos from this new series have been published! Hear Aisha, Tasmin, and Innocent’s voices and learn more about their roles and the important work they do here at Target Malaria. Watch the full playlist of Voices from the Lab and Voices from the Team.
