Building new bridges between Target Malaria Uganda and Target Malaria Burkina Faso

Target Malaria Uganda and Target Malaria Burkina Faso strengthen their ties. Latif Ouedraogo, the Communications Assistant from Target Malaria Burkina Faso recently visited the Target Malaria Uganda teams, paving the way for continuous collaboration between the Uganda Virus Research Institute and Burkina Faso’s Research Institute for Science and Health (IRSS).
The purpose of Latif’s visit was to train and assist the communications team of Target Malaria Uganda in launching their Facebook page. Latif’s insights and experience were instrumental in preparing our team to effectively manage the new platform to share and interact with the Ugandan public.
Overall, the visit proved both productive and enriching, giving both of us the opportunity to learn more about West and East Africa, two regions very different from a geographical and cultural perspective.
We built a strong connection, and the exchange of knowledge between teams highlighted the importance of collaboration in aligning project activities and advancing the success of Target Malaria, as a pan-African project.
