Nous y avons effectu\u00e9 un <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/fr\/latest\/blog\/target-malaria-a-procede-a-un-lacher-a-petite-echelle-de-moustiques-males-genetiquement-modifies-steriles-a-bana-un-village-du-burkina-faso\/\">l\u00e2cher \u00e0 petite \u00e9chelle<\/a> en plein champ de&nbsp;la <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/fr\/notre-mission\/notre-processus-de-developpement\/male-sterile-genetiquement-modifie\/\">souche m\u00e2le st\u00e9rile g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9e sans impulsion g\u00e9n\u00e9tique<\/a> de moustiques&nbsp;<em>Anopheles<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le nouvel article \u00ab <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-022-28419-0\">Mark-release-recapture experiment in Burkina Faso demonstrates reduced fitness and dispersation of genetically-modified sterile malaria mosquitoes<\/a> \u00bb publi\u00e9 dans Nature Communications, nous documentons les r\u00e9sultats de nos travaux sur le l\u00e2cher de moustiques m\u00e2les st\u00e9riles du point de vue de l\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019entomologie de terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-022-28419-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"593\" height=\"791\" src=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6851\" style=\"width:331px;height:441px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/image-4.png 593w, https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/image-4-225x300.png 225w, https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/image-4-300x400.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 593px) 100vw, 593px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Je travaille en tant que <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/fr\/latest\/blog\/comprendre-le-vecteur-du-paludisme-nos-etudes-entomologiques-au-burkina-faso\/\">coordinateur entomologique de terrain<\/a> pour <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/where-we-operate\/burkina-faso\/\">Target Malaria Burkina Faso<\/a> et j\u2019ai dirig\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9quipe qui a men\u00e9 cette \u00e9valuation sur le terrain. Dans le cadre de cette \u00e9tude, nos objectifs \u00e9taient les suivants :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>d\u00e9montrer la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 estimer le taux de survie quotidien de la souche m\u00e2le st\u00e9rile de moustiques ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00e9valuer leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 participer \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s d\u2019essaimage, essentielles \u00e0 la reproduction\u2009;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00e9valuer leur dispersion dans la zone de l\u00e2cher ; et<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>estimer la taille de la population cible au moment du l\u00e2cher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/BUR_BANA_caption-1-1536x902.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:684px;height:401px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Avant le l\u00e2cher et la conception de l\u2019\u00e9tude, <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/fr\/latest\/blog\/elaboration-dune-feuille-de-route-dengagement-des-parties-prenantes-pour-les-approches-genetiques-innovantes-de-la-lutte-anti-vectorielle\/\">un travail important de mobilisation de la communaut\u00e9 et des parties prenantes<\/a> a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9 pour informer ad\u00e9quatement les parties prenantes touch\u00e9es des recherches men\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La souche de moustique utilis\u00e9e \u00e9tait la souche g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9e sans impulsion g\u00e9n\u00e9tique de m\u00e2les st\u00e9riles dominants d\u2019Anopheles coluzzi 2 (Ac(DSM)2). Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une souche de moustique qui est g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9e pour \u00eatre st\u00e9rile, de sorte qu\u2019elle puisse s\u2019accoupler, mais ne puisse pas produire de prog\u00e9niture. Elle ne porte pas la technologie <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/what-we-do\/how-it-works\/\">d\u2019impulsion g\u00e9n\u00e9tique<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un total de 15 384 moustiques m\u00e2les (6 659 moustiques m\u00e2les transg\u00e9niques et 8 725 moustiques fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs non transg\u00e9niques) \u00e9lev\u00e9s dans notre <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/276078009?embedded=true&amp;source=video_title&amp;owner=26144953\">insectarium ACL2<\/a> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9s en utilisant une technique de saupoudrage d\u2019un nuage de colorant un jour avant le l\u00e2cher sur le terrain. Compte tenu de la mortalit\u00e9 et sur la base du ratio de m\u00e2les st\u00e9riles et de leurs fr\u00e8res pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment \u00e9tabli, <strong>un total de 14 850 moustiques m\u00e2les ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectivement rel\u00e2ch\u00e9s au cours d\u2019une seule journ\u00e9e dans le centre de Bana<\/strong>, parmi lesquels un nombre estim\u00e9 de 6 428 moustiques transg\u00e9niques et de 8 422 fr\u00e8res non transg\u00e9niques. Les activit\u00e9s de recapture ont commenc\u00e9 dans les deux heures suivant le l\u00e2cher des moustiques et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en \u0153uvre quotidiennement par notre \u00e9quipe exp\u00e9riment\u00e9e de collecteurs pendant une p\u00e9riode de 20 jours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur les quelques 14 850 m\u00e2les rel\u00e2ch\u00e9s, 527 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recaptur\u00e9s dans le centre de Bana et dans le march\u00e9 voisin de Bana au cours de la p\u00e9riode de 20 jours. Une analyse mol\u00e9culaire des moustiques marqu\u00e9s recaptur\u00e9s a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e afin d\u2019identifier la souche m\u00e2le st\u00e9rile et de la distinguer des moustiques de type sauvage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour confirmer la disparition du transg\u00e8ne sur le site du l\u00e2cher, des collectes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9es tous les mois pendant sept mois. La premi\u00e8re constatation majeure est que les moustiques rel\u00e2ch\u00e9s ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s d\u2019essaimage sur le terrain de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re que leurs homologues sauvages. Comme pr\u00e9dit dans des \u00e9tudes de laboratoire et de mod\u00e9lisation, apr\u00e8s les avoir recaptur\u00e9s, les chercheurs ont constat\u00e9 que les moustiques g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9s \u00e9taient moins mobiles que leurs fr\u00e8res non transg\u00e9niques et avaient des taux de survie inf\u00e9rieurs. Au moment du l\u00e2cher, la population de m\u00e2les dans le village de Bana \u00e9tait estim\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 28 000 \u00e0 37 000 moustiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/vimeo.com\/531190032\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien que le l\u00e2cher n\u2019ait pas vis\u00e9 \u00e0 affecter la transmission du paludisme, <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/fr\/latest\/blog\/conclusions-du-premier-lacher-de-moustiques-genetiquement-modifies-sans-impulsion-genetique-en-afrique-2\/\">il s\u2019agit d\u2019un tremplin pour l\u2019\u00e9quipe, qui a ainsi pu recueillir des informations, d\u00e9velopper ses connaissances et d\u00e9velopper ses comp\u00e9tences locales<\/a>. Il a \u00e9galement permis au projet de travailler en \u00e9troite collaboration avec les communaut\u00e9s touch\u00e9es et les autorit\u00e9s de r\u00e9glementation, et d\u2019engager un dialogue continu avec ces parties prenantes quant aux approches g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques de contr\u00f4le du paludisme. <strong>Cette nouvelle publication fournit des informations uniques sur la condition physique et le comportement des premiers moustiques g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9s sans impulsion g\u00e9n\u00e9tique rel\u00e2ch\u00e9s en Afrique<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous sommes fiers des progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent et du leadership du Burkina Faso dans la recherche sur le paludisme. Le l\u00e2cher de 2019 \u00e9tait un moment historique et une \u00e9tape importante pour Target Malaria. <strong>Cette analyse et les donn\u00e9es recueillies fournissent des informations inestimables que nous utilisons d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans les phases suivantes de notre recherche.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 long terme, notre objectif est de d\u00e9velopper et de partager un <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/fr\/notre-mission\/notre-processus-de-developpement\/male-biaise-et-fertilite-de-la-femelle\/\">moustique g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9 avec la technologie d\u2019impulsion g\u00e9n\u00e9tique<\/a> qui permettra \u00e0 la modification de persister parmi la population de moustiques vecteurs du paludisme pendant plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations.
