A Social Development professional, I am a passionate advocate for better health with over ten years\u2019 experience in community mobilization and stakeholder engagements across civil society and government.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>I have worked in the field of development with different organizations (Makerere University &#8211; I@MAK.COM, Invisible Children and PATH) in programme management, public policy research and advocacy. While at PATH, I led advocacy campaigns for health equity so that all people and communities can benefit from a well-functioning health delivery system. I mobilised civil society organisations in 2016 general elections in Uganda and launched the Civil Society Health Manifesto that demanded politicians to commit to bold demands around improving health service delivery in the country, funding the health sector, equipping facilities with medicines and health workers, and delivering accountability and political will that has been deeply lacking.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have organised high level stakeholder conversations (including the first ever presidential dialogue on the quality of health care in Uganda) aimed at securing the support of policymakers, advocates, influencers, and citizens to commit the necessary resources and enact policies that bring health solutions on wider scale.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining Target Malaria has made me appreciate the commitment and research that goes in finding lasting solutions to the fight against malaria that has devastated Africa for so long. I am pleased to join a committed team where I also can contribute to these efforts.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hold a Master\u2019s degree in Development Studies from London South Bank University and Bachelor of Arts in Education from Makerere University.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my free time, I like taking a walk around my community interacting with the residents and when opportunity allows, I play football with fellow amateur footballers to keep myself exercised.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am delighted to be joining Target Malaria as Stakeholder Engagement Manager in Uganda.
