D\u00e9but juin, j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 au lancement de \u00ab Espoir pour la vie sur notre plan\u00e8te : source d’inspiration pour sept g\u00e9n\u00e9rations<\/a> \u00bb, un nouvel ouvrage \u00e9dit\u00e9 par l’entrepreneur et investisseur norv\u00e9gien Osvald Bjelland. L’\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e9tait co-organis\u00e9 par Lord John Browne of Madingley au Courtauld Institute of Art de Londres. \u201cEspoir pour la vie sur notre plan\u00e8te\u201d est un recueil de plus de 60 contributions de penseurs et d’acteurs de diff\u00e9rents secteurs, cultures et continents, dont l’objectif est d’apporter l’espoir dont on a tant besoin pour traverser les incertitudes du monde actuel.\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

J’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9e \u00e0 partager mon point de vue en tant que scientifique travaillant sur une technologie qui promet de changer et de sauver la vie de millions de personnes en mettant fin au r\u00e8gne du paludisme. Dans mon essai, j’aborde l’impact d\u00e9vastateur de cette maladie, en particulier sur les femmes et les enfants en Afrique subsaharienne. Ce fut \u00e9galement l’occasion de mettre en lumi\u00e8re les probl\u00e8mes syst\u00e9miques qui perp\u00e9tuent cette crise de sant\u00e9 publique et d’offrir un espoir gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des interventions innovantes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai eu le privil\u00e8ge de rencontrer d’autres contributeurs \u00e0 l’occasion du lancement londonien de Hope. Ce fut un honneur de prendre la parole aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d’autres auteurs tels que P\u00ebrparim Rama, architecte et urbaniste, le philosophe australien Anthony Howard et Finian Tan, capital-risqueur bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Singapour.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merci \u00e0 Osvald et Lord Browne de m’avoir invit\u00e9 et accueilli dans la magnifique galerie Courtauld pour le lancement. Une soir\u00e9e vraiment m\u00e9morable ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
